Michael Hammons of Georgia was charged with criminal trespassing after saving a suffering little Pomeranian from stifling heat outside a shopping mall. The dog seemed to be in great distress so, while others called police, he detached the footrest of his wife’s wheelchair and smashed open the car window to help the dog.

Meanwhile, the owner was cited for leaving an animal in a hot car and could face up to 20 hours of community service.
