Waitress’s Good Deed Comes Around

Here’s a feel good story for today! Especially if you know a firefighter. Read on…

A waitress in Delran, NJ, found herself serving a couple of firefighters who had just dropped in after a harrowing 12 hour shift fighting a fire. Tired and exhausted, they just needed a break. When the bill came, they found THIS note written on it from their waitress…

“Your breakfast is on me today. Thank you for all that you do; for serving others & for running into the places everyone else runs away from. No matter your role, you are courageous, brave and strong. Thank you for being bold and badass everyday! Fueled by Fire & Driven by Courage. What an example you are! Get some rest! 🙂 Liz”

The men then decided to keep the chain going! They learned that Liz and her family has been trying to raise money on a GoFundMe page to buy a wheelchair accessible van for her father, Steve. He was paralyzed by a brain aneurysm five years ago.

Even though she’s raised $30 000 so far, the van that her father needs may cost up to $80 000.

Now the firefighters are organizing a fundraiser to help her out!

Good deeds go around.
