I don’t have to shop for back-to-school but 91% of parents who do shop are stressed out. The number one reason for the stress is money and number two is dragging kids around the store. Here’s what they are buying…
- Clothes, shoes, notebooks and backpacks. Parents expect to spend an average of $153 on clothes, plus $71 on new shoes
- The four most popular themes this year…Lego Batman, Frozen, Cars 3 and Despicable Me
- 32% of parents also plan to buy electronics for their kids, and spend an average of $121 on them
Once the kids are back in school, the number one thing parents want to do is go shopping for THEMSELVES, hang out with friends, get more exercise, go to a concert or a movie and spend time fixing up the home.
According to this survey, 80% of parents start back-to-school shopping a month before school starts…so it’s in the books. These are the same parents that have already started shopping for Christmas, because Halloween is already done. ~ chrislukas
