The Windsor Downtown Mission Is Running Out of Food

Published On May 20, 2015 | By Ryan Crits | Afternoons

The downtown mission has been serving the less fortunate in Windsor since 1972. The Mission provides food for the body, nurture for the spirit, shelter for the homeless and opportunity for human growth and development.

This year, however, the shelves of the downtown mission are more bare than usual. One worker even compared it to a famine!

To give you an idea of how essential the mission is to Windsor, note the mission was relied on for 145 000 meals in 2014, and 60 people rejoined the workforce thanks to the Downtown Mission.

To help them with their efforts, food and monetary donations are much appreciated. ANYTHING HELPS!
