Brett Eldredge Goes Ziplining
Country singer Brett Eldredge recently went zip-lining with some lucky fans in Tennessee. To watch the full video, click here.
“That one was the most scary and the most fun! The only other time I had that feeling was when I went sky diving. That leap into the air is so scary, but it’s also the time you feel most alive. You don’t want to do it, but then you do it and you feel so alive,” he said. “Sometimes you just have to let go and take the jump, the leap of faith.”
Eldredge was at AdventureWorks with Lindsay Bade and Michael Cross, two fans from Illinois, who won a contest on Facebook.
Eldredge says he dressed for the outdoor adventure in knee-high Muck boots, jeans and a “lumberjack-ish shirt.”
“This might be a little more adventurous than horseback riding! When Muck came to us about this contest, I thought it was great because I love to share my adventure with people. I wanted to be part of picking what this would be. I thought, ‘What can we do in Nashville that would be fun and adventurous?’ There’s some adrenaline pumping stuff here when you get going at 30 mph hanging from a zip-line 90 feet above the ground! Adrenaline is a drug, it’s the only drug I do and it’s a great one. It’s what being on stage gives me and I live for that. So offstage, this is the closest you get. There is no place I feel more at home than on stage. It’s a high, it’s a rush. The closest to heaven, it’s a magical place. If I can match that offstage it’s like, ‘What can I do to take me to that feeling?’ That’s why I do these things.”
These “things” include celebrating his past #1 hits with skydiving (“Don’t Ya”), swimming with the sharks (“Beat of the Music”) and next up for “Mean to Me” – dinner on a table suspended from a crane 300 feet above the ground. “I’m thinking baby back ribs.”
“I became known as this adventure guy. The skydiving thing kind of started it all. But I love taking risks and living life as fully as possible.”
