The Zac Brown Band head into the second weekend on their brand new Jekyll + Hyde tour with two shows this weekend in their homestate of Georgia.

The Band plays Friday, May 8th and Saturday, May 9th at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Alpharetta. Zac Brown says there are some pros and cons to performing in their own backyard.

“I love coming back home to play in Georgia and to bring the new show and everything back home. It gets a little hairy the day of show because you become a ticketing agent and everybody in the world that’s like your old first grade buddy from so and so is hitting you up for tickets, and they don’t hit you up like a month before hand, they hit you up on like the day of. That part gets a little hairy on playing at home. It’s so much more busy during the day kind of getting everybody situated but it is fun once we hit the stage. It’s great to have the energy of the hometown crowd and (we’re) excited to show them all the new music and everything we’ve been working on.”

Zac Brown Band’s Jekyll + Hyde CD topped the pop and country charts this week with first-week sales in excess of 200,000 units.
