Carrie Underwood Returns To The Stage
This past week and weekend were big for Carrie Underwood, who returned to the public eye for the first time since becoming mom to baby Isaiah this spring to participate the CMA Music Festival. The singer showed off her fantastic voice and figure first at the CMT Awards on Wednesday, June 10th, where she took home three trophies, and then again on Saturday, June 13th night for a performance at LP Field in Nashville.
Carrie spoke with reporters before hitting the stage on Saturday where she admitted she had some butterflies.
“It feels great! I mean, I was nervous just because I had been away from big public events for a while (laughs), and this is one of the funnest weeks we have in country music, and it really is all about the fans, and I definitely felt very welcomed like at the CMT Awards and it feels good to be back on stage.”
Carrie is working on her next album, the followup to her greatest hits compilation which was released in December.
