Brett Eldredge’s Album Takes Top Spot
Brett Eldredge’s brand new album, Illinois, debuts at the top of the Billboard Country Albums Chart, giving the singer his first chart-topping album. Sales of the project were spurred by his current hit single, “Lose My Mind.” Illinois also sits in the Top Five on the all-genre Billboard 200 album chart.
“I started thinking about this album the day my first album came out, more than two years ago. I couldn’t be happier with that album and it started it all for me, but I wanted Illinois to be more. It’s more adventurous, better version of me and I loved the whole process of making the album. I have to thank my fans, my family and friends for all of their belief and support they have given me over the years.”
Brett co-wrote and co-produced every song on Illinois, and wrote the title track out of love and reverence to his home state.
“It’s the place where I grew up, where my roots are planted and it will always hold a deep place in my heart. We all have an Illinois and no matter how far you go in life no matter how far you travel no matter where you go, your roots always hold close to your heart and pull you back. That’s what I wanted to write and that’s what I wanted this album to be.”
Next month, Brett and co-headliner Thomas Rhett will kick off the Suits & Boots tour in New York City.
