Carrie Ready To Host CMA Awards
Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley are gearing up to resume their co-hosting duties on the CMA Awards. The two have already been collaborating on the script, and recently Brad hinted that the big breakups in Country music this year were perfect fodder for the show. Carrie, however, is a little more sensitive to the subject.
She says while those topics might make their was into the show, it will be done in a kinder, gentler way.
“These are our friends and they’re people we have to work with afterwards and look at and run into, and plus we’re not mean people and we don’t want to make people uncomfortable or upset about what’s going on in lives, like these are people’s lives. I know that it’s definitely, it is a topic for this year ’cause it seems like it’s been so many people that have split up but maybe we do it in a different way. I don’t know. Again we’re not in the business of making people mad at us.Yeah, we’ll figure it out and I’ll drag my feet and we’ll make sure that it’s something that nobody will get mad at us for.”
The CMA Awards will be held at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on November 4th. The show will air live on ABC beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
Carrie will release her new album, Storyteller, on October 23rd.
