Keith Urban Challenged By New Album
Keith Urban is still working on the follow-up to his 2013 album, Fuse. The singer says he was disappointed to discover early on that the process this time around wouldn’t be as simple as he first expected. Keith attended the Number One party for “Raise ‘Em Up” on Wednesday,September 16th in Nashville where he told reporters:
“In some ways I thought making this record now that I’m working on was gonna be easy cause Fuse was such a process of finding new people and I thought, ‘As soon as I get in to make this record it’s gonna be so much easier,’ and I got in and started making some music with (producer) Nathan (Chapman) back in January and I didn’t feel the way about it as I hoped I would, and it was kind of in that moment that I thought, ‘Alright, this is not gonna be easy,’ and (laughs) here we are nine months later and Nathan and I were back in the studio again last week and still going at it so it’s a process and it is what it is, but it’s just always gotta be about capturing the truth.”
Keith is nearing the top of the charts with his latest hit, “John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16.” The song will be included on his upcoming album.
