Kenny Chesney Talks Latest Hit
Kenny Chesney sits at Number One this week with “All The Pretty Girls,” giving him his 30th chart-topper. He said,
“Music to me is the place where life truly lives. When a song is right, when you can really feel it, there’s no denying the passion or the heart. If there’s one thing that sets No Shoes Nation apart, it’s how much they feel things and how hard the respond. ‘All The Pretty Girls’ is everything they’re made of; the response – and this No. 1 – once again prove it.”
Kenny talked about relating to “All The Pretty Girls”:
“‘All The Pretty Girls’ has so much life wrapped into three and a half minutes. I think if you ask anyone that’s a musician, or that writes songs for a living, or plays guitar in any way, the majority of my friends that play guitar or in this business did it so a girl would pay attention to them . . . and that’s my case. I wrote my first song about a girl that was in my persuasion class, ironically enough. I was trying to persuade her into going out with me. Now she sat right beside me and I gave her the tape of the song I wrote about her and the next day I went in, I was scared right, and she was sitting all the way in the corner on the other side of the room, which that was my first taste of rejection in life OK, when it came to my music (laughs).”
“All The Pretty Girls” is the fourth single and second Number One hit from Kenny’s 2016 album, Cosmic Hallelujah.
Kenny updated fans on his Love For Love City charity which is helping the victims of the recent hurricane that hit St. John:
