Jason Aldean Open To Finishing Vegas Show

Jason Aldean’s fans who were in attendance at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas last fall have been asking for the superstar to return to finish his set, which was cut short only a few songs in when a gunman turned the outdoor venue into the scene of one of the deadliest mass shootings in recent history.

While he’s not ready to announce any news, Jason says he and his management are mulling things over.

“It’s something that we’ve had the discussion. It’s such a touchy subject to go back and do some of those things. I think you really gotta make sure you handle it the right way. You want to make that if you’re gonna go back and play that show that the people who were there, who were the victims, the families, those are the people that are getting to come to the show, so it’s a little bit of a process. It’s definitely something we’re open to, we’ve talked about it. It may take a little time for us to figure it out, but we’re talking about it. I can say that. We’ve had the discussions and (are) sort of starting down the road a little bit so we’ll see where it goes but I completely understand where they’re coming from. I think it’s more of the gesture than anything. I appreciate the fact that they want us to come back and want us to finish our show and want to come see it and it means a lot to us so I appreciate that and we’ll just kind of see what happens.”

You can download or stream our performance of “I wont back down” from @nbcsnl right now and all the proceeds will go to the Direct Impact Fund to help the victims and their families of the Las Vegas shooting. #vegasstrong

In other Jason news, the superstar might be joining the likes of Dierks Bentley, Blake Shelton, Alan Jackson and John Rich by becoming the owner of a restaurant and bar in downtown Nashville. According to the Nashville Business Journal, a concept named Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar is in the works for a building on the famed row of honky tonks on Broadway. Staff at the city’s Historic Zoning Commission approved the proposed Jason Aldean signage on March 14th.
