New Album From Jason Aldean Is Out
Jason Aldean has released his eighth studio album, Rearview Town.
He’ll be promoting the project with several media appearances in the coming weeks. Jason will take the stage at the ACM Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday night, where he is nominated for Entertainer and Male Vocalist of the Year.
Jason is the reigning Entertainer, taking home the title for the second year in a row last year. Having that trophy on his shelf at home is meaningful for several reasons:
“I’m flattered every time we get nominated for those things because we don’t always get nominated for stuff, and it does mean a lot to me when we do get those votes and people are voting for us, and then especially if you win one. The Entertainer of the Year to me was a personal thing that I wanted when I started in this business, and so it does mean a lot. It means a lot when you get nominated for those things and you feel like your peers and everybody in the industry feels strongly enough about you to to vote for you and more than anything I think it just makes you feel good, like the acceptance you’re getting from everybody and that’s a cool feeling so . . . It definitely makes it more exciting when you go to an award show, I will say that. It’s a lot cooler when you’re up for an award (and) a lot more fun sitting out there watching the show when you don’t know what’s coming, so . . .”
The 53rd Academy of Country Music Awards airs on CBS at 8 pm.
Jason will perform the Top Five and climbing single “You Make It Easy” from the new record on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Monday, April 16th. He’ll take over the Big Apple for additional performances on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday, April 17th, and will play a multi-performance set on NBC’s Today show on Wednesday, April 18th.
