Jason Aldean Is A Fan of Miranda Lambert
Jason Aldean could arguably get any female in country music to duet with him, but for his latest single, “Drowns The Whiskey,” he again asked his longtime friend Miranda Lambert to do the honours.
“Miranda and I have known each other for a long time and we kind of got started in this business together and we toured a lot early on, and we did a song together on my second album called ‘Grown Woman’ that was probably my favorite song on that album. I’m kind of always looking for songs and ways to collaborate with other people anyway and just kind of wanted to do something else with her. I’ve always been a big fan of her voice and her style and everything so I had a song in mind and I sent it to her and she was kind of iffy on the song that I sent and I was like, ‘Hey, listen, if you don’t like it it’s cool. We’ll find something else,’ and I had another song in mind. I said, ‘Actually, I got this other thing that I’ll send you and see if you like it better because I think it’s really good,’ and so I sent her ‘Drowns The Whiskey’ and she loved that song.”
“Drowns The Whiskey” sits in the Top Seven and climbing on the country charts.
