Snoop Dog’s son quits football at UCLA
The son of Snoop Dogg is leaving the UCLA football program after deciding to end his playing career this week.
Cordell Broadus will apparently stay on as a student at the school.
“Cordell informed me yesterday that he has decided to pursue other passions in his life — in particular his love of film through his company Film School Productions,” UCLA Coach Jim Mora said in a statement. “Cordell is an amazing young man with many talents, and we wish him nothing but the best as he continues to pursue his degree at UCLA.”
Scout.com’s Tracy Pierson reports that the 18 year old’s decision to hang up his cleats has more to do with “wanting to do his own thing” than anything else, with the article suggesting that he was pushed into football spotlight by his famous father.
