Mark Wahlberg in talks to bring Caron Butler’s memoir to the big screen
Mark Wahlberg is apparently in talks to turn NBA star Caron Butler’s life into a movie.
Butler is out with his new book “Tuff Juice” where the Sacramento Kings forward reveals how he overcame a hard life as a drug dealing youth to make it to the NBA.
Wahlberg has been writing testimonials and tweeting his support for the book since it was released.
Caron says that he and Wahlberg have talked about taking it to the next step – a feature film adaptation.
“It’s a possibility … I’ve spent some time with Mark Wahlberg. He loved my story.”
As far as who would play him, Caron said, “Michael B. Jordan. I loved what he did in “Fruitvale Station.” I think he would do a great job at sharing my story.”
