Tennis star Venus Williams will not be charged over June crash

Venus Williams got some of good when the Palm Beach Police Department released that, based on the findings that it would not be filing charges against the tennis star over her fatal car crash in June that left one man dead.

In June, Williams was involved in a collision with a man and his wife in Florida. The 78-year-old man died two weeks later after being taken to the hopital with head inguries. The victim’s wife (who suffered some injuries) was behind the wheel and was coming up to an intersection when Williams  SUV moved into the intersection at the same time.

The report concludes that an unidentified third vehicle illegally cut off the tennis star as she tried to cross a busy six-lane road near her home – setting off the chain of events that ended with a sedan slamming into the passenger side of her SUV.
