Eric Church Celebrates Recent #1

Eric Church was feted at a party on Monday, March 23rd in Nashville to celebrate both the chart-topping success of “Talladega,” as well as a platinum certification for his latest album, The Outsiders. He was also presented with a plaque for his debut album, Sinners Like Me, which finally went gold.

Eric took the podium to address the crowd of music business folks gathered at the event.

“I’m the luckiest guy alive that for me we have the kind of career where I’m as proud of ‘Outsiders’ and ‘Cold One’ off this album as I am ‘Hometown’ and ‘Talladega’, and I think that’s what we’ve tried to make our career about and that’s why I’m holding this album is because if you come watch up play live right now . . . in Chicago we played nine songs off this album, and the people sang every song (applause). That to me is what music’s about — it’s about finding that connection and not being afraid to put it out there, so I thank you guys very much. . . I appreciate it more than I can express. Thank you.”

Eric is now on the country charts with two songs — his own “Like a Wrecking Ball” from The Outsiders, and Keith Urban‘s latest, “Raise ‘Em Up.”
