While Little Big Town was on stage at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Sunday, April 19th night accepting their ACM Vocal Group of the Year award, their respective children were having their own party of sorts at a nearby hotel.

Little Big Town members Kimberly Schlapman, Phillip Sweet, and Karen Fairchild tell us about their kids’ perspective as the children of entertainers, and how they have all learned to raid the mini bar.

“They really don’t know any better. They think everybody’s mama and daddy are on TV. They think everybody has a bunk on a bus (laughter), so they don’t really know any better but our lives revolve around our kids. They mean more than anything to us and they’ll be very proud. (Phillip) Yeah, they send us little pictures and they cheer us on and it’s like the most special thing ever. (Karen) They think the mini bar is free (laughter). (Jimi) Not the alcohol part. (Karen) No, no, no but the (Karen and Kimberly) Kit Kats! (Karen) Because of catering and being on tour they can walk into a hotel room and just like, ‘I’ll take the $15 Kit Kat.’ (laughter) That’s what they’re doing at the hotel. They’re eating $15 Kit Kats and they’re watching the show.”

Little Big Town also performed their hit single “Girl Crush,” which is climbing the charts.
