Carrie Underwood Sweeps CMT Awards

Carrie Underwood was the big winner at the CMT Music Awards held at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. She claimed three belt buckle trophies, taking home Collaborative Video with Miranda Lambert for “Somethin’ Bad,” and Female Video and Video of the Year for “Something In The Water.”

The two-plus hour show, co-hosted by Erin Andrews and Brittany Snow, was packed full of performances, including Lady Antebellum, who opened the show with “Long Stretch Of Love,” followed up by a collaboration with EDM DJ Zedd for the track “Beautiful Now” from his True Colors album before slipping back into “Long Stretch of Love” to end the performance.

Outdoor performances on the Lower Broadway stage located outside the Arena included:

Florida Georgia Line “Anything Goes”
Kenny Chesney “American Kids”

Arnold Schwarzenegger, Steven Tyler, Justin Bieber, Tom Arnold, Erin Andrews, Brittany Snow, Alan Jackson, Rick Springfield, and Hunter Hayes were all featured in a pre-taped piece in which Schwarzenegger and Tyler were not Uber drivers but “Guuber” (pronounced GOOBER) drivers. In the clip, Bieber declared his love for Luke Bryan.
