Florida Georgia Line members Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard were among the songwriters honored at Jason Aldean’s Number One party for his three chart-toppers, “Burnin’ It Down,” “Just Gettin’ Started” and “Tonight Looks Good On You” earlier this week in Nashville. Brian and Tyler were co-writers on “Burnin’ It Down,” the debut single from Jason’s Old Boots, New Dirt album.

Brian says the process behind “Burnin’ It Down” represents everything about why he and Tyler do what they do.

“We moved to Nashville as dreamers, as songwriters wanting to hear our songs on Country radio, and God’s been really good to us. We’ve worked really hard and the cool thing about Nashville is the co-writing. A song can’t happen without a lot of people coming together, a lot of good vibes and a lot of magic kind of happening. It’s like winning the lottery, getting a Number One song. You can’t take it for granted. You’ve got to be very grateful and thankful, and I think furthermore the coolest thing about that whole experience was being on tour with Jason like you said and watching that song blow up, watching the fans live that out. You can’t argue that. You can’t argue the heat of that song and it’s cool kind of riding that wave with him, man. It’s very special.”

Brian and Tyler have officially started recording their next album. The guys are also on their Anything Goes tour, in addition to playing stadiums with Luke Bryan.
