16th Annual National Scleroderma Conference

SEPTEMBER 17, 18 & 19 – This year’s 16th Annual National Scleroderma Conference will be held in Hamilton, Ontario for patients, patients’ families & friends, and medical professionals who wish to  interact with other patients and learn some of the latest research, treatments and other important factors that are in relation to scleroderma.

What:
Scleroderma Café ~ For those unfamiliar with scleroderma, a FREE public event will be held at the David Braley Health Sciences Centre, 100 Main Street West, Hamilton on Thursday, September 17th from 7-9 pm.

Scleroderma Conference ~ For those more familiar with scleroderma, a PAID event that provides more detailed educational sessions will be held at the Hamilton Sheraton Hotel, 116 King Street West, Hamilton on September 18-19.

Why:
These conferences are held to promote awareness for scleroderma.  Due to the rarity of the disease much of this information is not readily collected and thus very hard for patients to understand and gather.  This conference provides the opportunity to interact and engage with medical professionals to gauge what they don’t know and what they know on a first hand basis. Doctors and patients will interact to mutually understand what is needed at the current state of scleroderma. In addition many patients are not seen by doctors specializing in scleroderma and can make treatment extremely difficult, with all the doctors that are known to be familiar to scleroderma exi019sting in one location from all across Canada we provide them the best.
