Pet of the Week

Mitch and Kara are working with The Windsor/Essex County Humane Society by bringing a pet into the studio each week. If you’re an animal lover, be sure to stop by this page weekly to see the pets that the Windsor/Essex County Humane Society has chosen to introduce to our listeners.

This is Wally… actually this is Wallys GOOD SIDE, he’s a 4 year old black lab/retriever who’s put on a bit of weight and needs an owner who will walk him. He has lots of energy, and is sooo friendly. Just needs a little be of love and exercise.

These 2 kittens are brand new to the world, and are sooo fuzzy and cute. They have 4 brothers and sisters too, so theres plenty of cuteness to choose from!

Riley is 3 years old, and is a strong, energetic boy. He also loves getting is bum scratched… but who doesn’t?

This is Alexa, she was fun to have around…. a quirky little kitty.

Trixie is 2 years old and is full of energy and love… if you think you can keep up with her, I’m sure she’d love to come home with you (by the way, professional broadcaster and boxer Kara Ro not included when you take Trixie home).

Jazzy came by, just in time for Easter! Look how tiny her ears are.

It takes a special kind of animal to warm up to Gary, the fact that these two kittens (brothers, none the less) did so, so quickly shows what a friendly addition they would be to the family. Their names are Elton and Johnny and are just sooo sweet.

Lexie’s just 3 years old… and she has plenty of energy to boot. A good girl, but needs a home who can keep up with her!

His name is Mittens, but we nicknamed him “Kitty-o-mittens” for St. Pattys Day. As you can see he’s quite the curious little fellow.

This is Shelby. She’s a 1 year old Shepard mix. Has LOTS of energy, and is pretty great with kids.

Check out Braveheart… a 5 month old bunny. You can tell he’d be a good pet cause he was relaxed, even when Gary was holding him.

Lincoln is such a laid back cat. Certainly knows how to chill, so if you’re looking for someone to cuddle with, this is the guy.

What a playful dog! Chipper is just under 2 years old, and is full of energy.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a cute guinea pig! His name is Oreo, you can tell by his eyes how friendly he was.

This is sunshine! Boy is she playful A big ball of energy, she’d be alot of fun to have around the house, definitely great company.

Say “Hi” to Max… and he’ll say “Hi” back. He doesn’t bark much but he does talk in his own muffled sort of way.

Its very adorable, and his attempt to communicate with us attracted a pretty big crowd here at the station. Max is an 11 year old chocolate lab, very lovable.

We all fell in love with Panda. He’s a 6 year old Pomeranian. So quiet too, didn’t bark once while he was here. Would make for a great friendly addition to any family.
