How Twitter Helped Channing Tatum Get His Backpack Back

CHANNING TATUM left his bag in a taxi in New York City on Saturday, and decided to test the powers of social media to get it back.

He Tweeted, quote, “Seriously, left my black backpack in a cab near NYC’s 42nd street.  If you find it, email me at[email protected]. Thanks!”

Fortunately, it worked.  The next day, he Tweeted, quote, “To everyone who tried to help, and to the good New York Samaritan who found my bag and asked for nothing in return, thank you.  Thank you all!”

 

Technically, we don’t know if the person who returned it even saw the Tweet.  But we’re going to assume they did . . . because that makes it a better story.  For what it’s worth, Channing has seven million followers.
