YouTube’s 10th anniversary, watch the very first clip

YouTube celebrated its 10th anniversary back in February . . . it was founded on February 14th, 2005.  But the first actual video was posted ten years ago TODAY.  It’s an 18-second clip of one of the co-founders standing in front of an elephant pen at the San Diego Zoo.  Fittingly, it’s called “Me at the Zoo”.

Ten years later, YouTube has more than a billion users, and 300 hours of footage gets uploaded every minute.  “Gangnam Style” is still the most-watched YouTube video of all time, with 2.3 billion hits.
