George Strait’s New Album Out

George Strait’s new album, Cold Beer Conversation, is available exclusively at Walmart and iTunes/Apple Music today. The collection, which features 13 songs, includes three that were co-written by “King George.”

Strait earned that moniker, the “King of Country Music,” decades ago, but the superstar says that while it’s flattering, he has no clue how it came about.

“You know, I don’t know where that started, actually. It’s not something that I ever encouraged, you know, at all, but it’s nice to hear somebody say that, you know, cause I know they mean well by it and like I said, I don’t know how or who or what started all that . . . but it’s nice.”

Cold Beer Conversation is Strait’s first new studio album in two years. The last, Love is Everything, featured the Platinum-certified 60th Number One hit of his career, “Give It All We Got Tonight.”

Strait has been tapped to be the first entertainer playing the brand new Las Vegas Arena in April of next year. He and special guest Kacey Musgraves will perform a total of four shows in 2016 — April 22nd, April 23rd, September 9th and September 10th. Tickets for the shows will go on sale on October 2nd at 1 pm online at
