According to a new survey, the average person stops celebrating their birthday when they hit 31 . . . because they don’t want to spend time organizing a party.
Here are a few more results from the survey . . .
1. People who were born in June, September, or October are the least likely to celebrate their birthdays. People who are more likely to celebrate birthdays were born in March or August . Yay… that includes me. My birthday is August 31st, you can send me a gift.
2. The average adult gets eight cards and five presents for their birthday . . . and two out of three get a cake.
3. The main reason people don’t do anything to celebrate their birthday is . . . they don’t want to spend the time organizing a party. So, you hope someone will do it for you.
4. And if you HAVE to do something for your birthday, the top things people want are a weekend trip, or a dinner out with their family.
Now, wait a minute…how about milestone birthdays like 40, 50 and 60? I think they should be acknowledged, don’t you? Or would you rather ignore the fact that you hit the big __?
I also think 65 should be a big deal…under the disguise of a retirement party of course.
Anyway, I will continue celebrating my birthday, August 31st(in case you forgot already) because I keep turning 29!
