Artists Blown Away By ACM Nominations
Dierks Bentley woke up to the big news of his four ACM Awards nominations on Wednesday, February 20th. He’s up for Male Artist, Video and Vocal Event of the Year for “Burning Man” with Brothers Osborne, and Album of the Year for The Mountain.
Dierks said that the longer he’s in the industry the more these award nominations mean.
“There’s so much more gratitude now. It’s like, wow, I look at that list of artists and there’s Luke Combs, who’s probably gonna be a staple in there now, and Thomas Rhett’s gonna be in there every year so it’s harder. There’s less space. There’s only five guys in there so to be one of those I think I appreciate it more than ever. The album obviously’s like is to me the biggest nomination ever to get for anything. It’s one of the tangible results that you get to physically see from like putting time into making the whole year-and-a-half that goes into making that so that’s really awesome.”
Luke Bryan is revelling in his two ACM Awards nominations for Single of the Year for “Most People Are Good” and the night’s highest honour, Entertainer of the Year.
Luke has taken home the ACM Entertainer award twice throughout his career, and he said it’s still a big deal because it’s a title he strives to uphold.
“To have an Entertainer of the Year nomination is a huge honor for me. It’s something that I really, really work hard at every year to try to be a better Entertainer, a better singer and a better performer. Nothing is better than going to the ACMs in Vegas, having a couple of nominations and just being out there and enjoying the party and being in the room and seeing what happens. I’m humbled by it, and it’s gonna be exciting the night of the ACMs.”
Dan + Shay earned six nominations including Duo and Album of the Year. They posted.
Mitchell Tenpenny received his first nomination for an ACM Award for New Male Artist of the Year.
Jake Owen’s latest single, “Down To The Honky Tonk,” is nominated for Single of the Year.
Keith Urban is nominated for two awards — Male Artist and Entertainer of the Year.
Michael Ray is up for New Male Artist of the Year.
His fiance Carly Pearce is nominated for New Female Artist of the Year.
The 54th annual ACM Awards will be held on Sunday, April 7th in Las Vegas. Reba McEntire will host the show, which will air live on CBS.
Reba is hosting the 2019 ACM Awards.
The winners will be announced on Sunday, April 7th on CBS. The show airs live from Las Vegas beginning at 8 pm.
