Miranda’s Mutts Will March
Calling all dog lovers! Miranda Lambert‘s MuttNation Foundation will put paws on the pavement at 2019 CMA Fest, with the country superstar leading an official “Mutt March” on June 6.
The event is in celebration of MuttNation’s 10th anniversary and will kick off CMA Fest that Thursday, with the walk beginning at 8:30AM from Nissan Stadium.
“We’re hoping that 1,000 or more people, some with their furry friends, will join us walking in support of shelter pet adoption,” Lambert — the proud owner of eight rescues herself — says. Fans can register to take part in the MuttMarch now.
This will mark the third year that MuttNation will have adoptable dogs from the Nashville Humane Society available inside Xfinity Fan Fair X at Music City Center during the festival.
“Country music lovers and dog lovers, they go hand-in-hand,” says Lambert, “and CMA Fest provides the perfect setting to make that special connection.”
MuttNation was founded by Miranda Lambert and her mom Bev in 2009. It’s a nonprofit organization with a mission to “promote the adoption of shelter pets, advance spay and neuter and educate the public about the benefits of these actions.” MuttNation also works with transport partners to relocate animals under threat of euthanasia and during natural disasters.
