Keith Urban Celebrates 20 Year Career
The reigning ACM and CMA Entertainer of the Year, Keith Urban, is 20 years into his solo recording career and he’s still racking up hits, selling out venues around the world and clearly, collecting industry awards.
But none of this was his plan, not even specifically his dream. In fact, Keith said this is bigger than anything he ever thought about.
“I didn’t have specifics on anything. I just wanted to move to Nashville, make records and get on the radio and tour around and hopefully, people would know the songs. That was it, you know? That was it. And there was nothing like what sort of places I would play or how long I would get to do it for — none of that came into it — and certainly not how long it would take to achieve any of that. I never did any of that timeline, the five-year plan or any of that stuff. I just kept suiting up and showing up. So far so good.”
Keith’s latest hit, “We Were,” is the debut release from Keith’s upcoming studio album, although no further details about the project have been announced.
