Kip Moore is currently touring the UK, but he was recently reflecting on his worst job and what he used to do for money.

“I’d have to say my worst job ever was laying sod in the South Georgia heat. There’s nothing than that, especially when somebody would think that you’re waiting for the next sod patch to be thrown to you and you got your back turned, and all of a sudden, that big ole piece of sod hits you right on the back. You got nowhere to clean up, and you’re just stuck with dirt on your back for the rest of the day. It doesn’t get any worse than that.”

Meanwhile, Brett Young says life is very different now, compared to just a few years ago.

He talked about some of his early jobs that weren’t in the music business:

“I worked in a lot of restaurants, anything from waiting tables, to bussing tables, to bartending, to cruise ship bartending, to nightclub bartending. But also, the summers after my junior and senior year in high school, I worked construction with a general contractor that did everything from the ground up. Anything from framing a back deck to building a house and laying foundation and doing the whole thing. I worked in mortgages the year leading up to that whole big kaboom. And so, anything that seemed like it was interesting to me and if I worked hard, I could be successful, I’ve kind of been all over the place.”
