Keith Urban Ready For Emotional New Year’s Eve
Keith Urban is gearing up for his fourth consecutive New Year’s Eve performance in downtown Nashville.
He’ll again headline the Jack Daniel’s Music City Midnight: New Year’s Eve, where he’ll be joined by Jason Isbell, Amanda Shires, The Struts, the Fisk Jubilee Singers and more.
The 11th annual event will take place at the Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park and is free and open to the public.
The event has obviously become sort of a tradition for Keith and his family, and while it’s cliche, he runs the gamut of emotions every December 31st.
“Yeah, I go through every emotion on New Year’s Eve, every emotion – regret, remorse, melancholy, joy, hope, sadness, gratitude, calm, anxiety. (laughs) There’s a lot in that night for a lot of people. I’ve always been a big . . . I love New Year’s. Nic’s not a big New Year’s Eve person. I love New Year’s Eve. The counting down is important to me and I find it huge, that demarcation of time.”
Keith and his wife, Nicole Kidman, and their two daughters celebrated the Christmas holiday in their native Australia.
