Jordan Davis Song Based On True Love Story
Jordan Davis’ latest hit, “Slow Dance in a Parking Lot,” is based on real life.
It’s not his experience, but rather his co-writers story about his first date with his now-wife.
“It’s a true story. That was written with Lonnie Fowler. We didn’t have an idea of what we were going to write that day, and we started talking about first dates. He asked me about my first date, which was not eventful at all, and then I asked him about his first date, and it was him and his wife on their way home, a Garth Brooks song comes on the radio, they pull in a parking lot and he asks her to slow dance. I was like, ‘Dude, if there’s ever a country song, that’s it right there.’”
Jordan will kick off his 2020 headlining Trouble Town Tour on Friday, January 10th, and includes a stop in Detroit on January 25th.
