Brett Kissel Responds To Anthem Backlash
Country singer Brett Kissel has responded to criticism he received online following the Pittsburgh Penguins and Montreal Canadiens game on Monday, August 3rd.
Before the game, the Penguins replayed the Canadian and U.S. anthems that Kissel performed before one of their games earlier this year in Pittsburgh, and the Canadian country star was wearing a Penguins jersey,
However, fans did not know it was from a game before the COVID-19 shutdown, and Canadiens fans blasted Kissel on social media for not supporting the Canadian team.
Kissel responded on social media.
So there you have it, he didn’t even know Pittsburgh and the NHL would be replaying his version of the anthem!
