Florida Georgia Line Reach Diamond Certification Again
Florida Georgia Line recently became the only country artists in the 62-year history of the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) to have a second song sell over 10 million copies and reach Diamond certification.
The first song they achieved that status was with “Cruise” back in 2016, this time around it’s with “Meant to Be” with Bebe Rexha.
Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley were recently honoured for the achievement during a typical 2020 Zoom celebration.
Tyler told those gathered online that this feat was fuel for their fire to set and break records.
“For me, it’s like, it’s always inspiring. It’s always like, oh wow, the possibility’s there. Let’s try to beat that. Let’s try to beat that. Let’s see what we can do. I think it’s important to sit back and take it in for a second and let it motivate. It really does. It fuels me for sure, and I know that it fuels BK, and I think it’s that song high that we continue to chase day in and day out. It’s just in our blood. It’s who we are and when they blow up it just makes them special.”
FGL are in the Top 20 and climbing with their latest hit, “Long Live.”
