Cody Johnson On ACM Nomination
Cody Johnson didn’t have to share the exciting news of his ACM Awards nomination for New Male Artist of the Year with his friends because they already knew.
In fact, they’re the ones who filled him in on the news.
“I didn’t break the news to anyone about being an ACM nominee, because the news was broken to me! I didn’t really know, and my phone blew up, and that’s how I found out about it. So, I figured everybody already kind of knew, and I’m not one to brag on stuff. It was kind of cool to share with my wife, ‘Hey look, I just got this text message’ and very honoured to be nominated.”
Cody’s fellow nominees in the New Male Artist category include Hardy, Jimmie Allen, Parker McCollum and Travis Denning.
The winner will be announced during the ACM Awards in Nashville on Sunday, April 18th on CBS.
