Gabby Barrett is the top female nominee across all genres at the upcoming Billboard Music Awards with a whopping nine to her name.

In addition to several Country categories, she is also up for all-genre Top New Artist, Top Radio Song and Top Collaboration, among others. The Billboard Music Awards will air live on NBC on Sunday, May 23rd at 8 p.m.

“NINE?!?! Are you kidding me??? This year has already been unbelievable in so many ways. I feel so blessed that the fans and music community have embraced me and my music. God is good, ALL the time.”

Carrie Underwood, Dan + Shay, Luke Combs, Maren Morris and Morgan Wallen are among the other BBMA nominees.

Wallen is a finalist in five categories, but he won’t appear on the broadcast.

Officials released a statement saying…

“Morgan Wallen is a finalist this year based on charting. As his recent conduct does not align with our core values, we will not be including him on the show in any capacity (performing, presenting, accepting).”

This is the result of a January 31st incident in which Wallen used the N-word with friends as they were entering his Nashville home.

The nominations for this year’s awards are based on the chart period of March 21, 2020, through April 3, 2021, and are chosen “based on key fan interactions with music, including album and digital song sales, streaming, radio airplay, and social engagement, tracked by Billboard and its data partners, including MRC Data,” according to a release.
