Luke Bryan’s new docuseries, My Dirt Road Diary, premieres today exclusively on IMDb TV, Amazon’s premium free streaming service.

The five-episode docuseries has been in the works for nine years, according to Luke’s director, Michael Monaco, who has been capturing Luke’s life on video both on and off the road for years.

Luke said when Michael first presented him with the idea, he wasn’t too into it.

“Early on when (Michael) Monaco, my director, was running it by me I was kind of like ‘bah-humbug’ about it a little bit, and so as this thing came together I got more and more emotionally invested and now I’m really just invested because I’m excited for the potential to help people heal through tragedy and be inspired through tragedy and the ups and downs of life. So many people deal with that, so I hope that they can watch this and really understand that there is a light on the other side.”

My Dirt Road Diary touches on the many personal losses Luke has experienced throughout his life, including the deaths of his brother, sister and brother-in-law.

It also captures the highlights, like winning Entertainer of the Year multiple times and, of course, playing to thousands of fans at every venue on his annual tours.

All episodes of Luke Bryan: My Dirt Road Diary are available today.
