Tyler Hubbard released his self-titled debut solo album on Friday, January 27th, which includes the Number One hit “5 Foot 9” as well as his current single, “Dancin’ In The Country.”

Tyler wrote or co-wrote all 18 songs on the album in addition to co-producing it.

Tyler said the songs on this album are much more personal, and while it’s an introduction of sorts as a solo artist versus the lead singer of Florida Georgia Line, he wanted to make a connection with fans by self-titling the album.

And, as he said Shania Twain had a little something to do with it.

“I spent some time looking at all the titles of the songs and thinking about, ‘What am I gonna call this album,’ and it hit me. I was watching a Shania Twain documentary, the new one on Netflix. At some point they talked about her first album and how she self-titled it and I thought, ‘What easier way to connect the dots for the fans?’ Put a name with the face with the sound and the songs, so I have my face on the front of the album and my name on the front of the album and the songs on the back of the album, so, yeah, not over thought or over complicated there, just connecting the dots.”
