Rocky Start For Garth Brooks Bar In Nashville
Garth Brooks has spent a lot of time working on his new bar “Friends in Low Places” which opened in Nashville earlier this month.
But, according to early reviews, some people don’t think it’s that great.
A few of the complaints were that it was too expensive, the food wasn’t great, and it didn’t feel like a country bar.
Some lady mentioned paying $37 for two drinks, while another person said,
“This is certainly no honky tonk bar. Looks like a club in NYC.”
But the major complaint, sprinkled into a lot of reviews, was the music choice.
One woman said she was quote,
“very disappointed. [It] not country at all . . . hipster music the whole time.” And another lady was offended that they were playing “Apple Bottom Jeans”.
In his defence, a few people loved that it wasn’t playing country music all the time. One user said it had, quote,
“Good vibes. And Nashville is MUSIC CITY, not just country.”
It has 3.8 out of 5 stars on Yelp, so maybe some people are just being too harsh. It’s only been open for a few weeks.
