Kip Moore Wants To Fix Awards Shows
A lot of people don’t watch country music awards shows anymore because they say they don’t play enough “real” country music, or there are too many cross-over artists that have nothing to do with country.
Well, Kip Moore has an answer for all that.
In a recent interview, he said,
“I feel like we’re desperate in a way, when we don’t need to be. But you don’t see other genres doing that. They think by getting Nick Jonas to play with whoever, then that’s gonna be more powerful than a Cody Johnson, before he became a star. Nick Jonas, just because he’s on the show . . . #1 his fans aren’t gonna tune in, and the people that really love country are gonna say, ‘What is this?’ and then turn it off.”
