Dolly Parton Shares How Her Life Has Changed Since Her Husband’s Death
Dolly Parton recently sat down with the “Today” show and talked about the grief she feels over the loss of her husband of nearly 60 years.
She said, “I loved him since I was 18 years old. It’s a big adjustment, just trying to change patterns and habits. I’ll do fine. I’m very involved in my work, and that’s been the best thing that could have happened to me. But I’ll always miss him of course, and I’ll always love him. He was a great partner.”
The hosts went on to say how they were grieving with her, and that their love story has been an inspiration to everyone.
Dolly said, “I’m so thankful. I got so many letters, flowers from all over the world. I had no idea Carl Dean was so famous.” (People)
