Nate Smith Still On Vocal Rest
Nate Smith is still on the mend.
He was hoping to bounce back after taking time off for vocal rest, but after one show in Illinois, it became clear… he’s not quite ready.
In a heartfelt Instagram post on Monday, Smith announced that he’s cancelling his next four dates, including a stop in Canada, to focus on his healing.
“I truly thought I could hit the ground running, but . . . I’m not 100 percent yet. I’m so sorry I couldn’t perform at Summerfest, it actually broke my heart.”
Last month, Nate first revealed his vocal issues, explaining he’d been put on strict rest by doctors for the first time in five years, but he’s committed to making a full recovery.
It doesn’t seem like fans will have to wait too long, though.
Nate is scheduled to return July 17th in Tulsa, Oklahoma, as part of Jason Aldean’s Full Throttle Tour.
