Dan + Shay Announce Comeback With New Song
Dan + Shay ended their recent social media quiet period this week with an Instagram message addressing their absence and upcoming music.
Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney assured fans they “didn’t almost break up again” and described their studio time as “life-changing.”
The pair revealed their new single “Say So” will release on Thursday at 11 p.m. CT, accompanied by a music video.
They called the track “a true story about a friend who we lost not long ago” and hope it provides “strength and encouragement to anyone going through a tough time.”
The duo emphasized the song’s personal nature and serious subject matter.
They credited extended studio sessions for inspiring their “most inspired burst of creativity” since their 2013 album Where It All Began.
