So what inspired ‘Carolina’?
“I played a show in 2018 for a Nascar event in Statesville North Carolina. I loved the place and had a lot of fun with the Nascar team! I knew there was a song in that experience. A few months later I went down to Nashville on a writing trip and got together with Patricia Conroy and Danielle Bourjeaurd. Patricia and Danielle came up with this real soulful bluesy funky idea and with my background of blues and country the song really just fell into place once we all got into that vibe. Carolina was a tun of fun to write, as always with those two!”
