[WATCH] “Dad, How Do I?” Provides How-to Videos For Kids Without Dads
A YouTuber named Rob Kenney has been going viral with his dad-themed how-to videos. It’s basic stuff that dads teach their kids . . . like how to shave, change a tire, iron a shirt, or unclog a drain.
Rob said he does it to help kids who don’t have a father around teaching them those things. It’s inspired by his own childhood. His dad left when he was 12 years old. “My dad left me as a teenager, and after that, I determined I would never do that to my family,” he explained. “Now I am creating videos about things I wish I knew how to do when I was younger.”
Kenney had the idea to create his YouTube channel a couple of years ago, but when the coronavirus hit and quarantine he said he “I ran out of excuses. Now, he has more than 2.27 million subscribers —You’ll find them on his “Dad, How Do I?” channel.
By the way Rob has teamed up with Lowes to find deserving dads who have taken on DIY projects to help support their families in hands-on ways. He’ll be surprising 10 deserving dads with a $5,000 Lowe’s gift card for Father’s Day on Sunday.
