‘Booze N’ Tattoos’event Keeps Nursing Home Spirits High During Pandemic
A retirement home called Rose Haven in Iowa did a “Booze N’ Tattoos” event last week where residents could get a temporary tattoo and a REAL beer.
One man got pistols on each bicep to show off his “guns.” He joked that he’d always wanted a tattoo, and got a pair of them just so he could have TWO beers.
“Booze N’ Tattoos” is just one of the most recent activities Rose Haven has put on over the last few months.
They did a homecoming king and queen event and one day staff brought a “rolling photo booth” from room to room, allowing residents to dress up with their pick of accessories .
One of the staff members said simply ‘the residence have been in their rooms quite a bit because of the pandemic, so we’re trying to think of things we could take to the residents and create a really fun time and make smiles.
