A Virginia dad has invented a way for kids and other families to still blow out birthday candles and eat the cake too. Mark Apelt’s battery-powered Blowzee is activated when someone blows into it, activating a little fan that spins and fan out the flames. It looks like a recorder with a fan at the end of it.
The Blowzee design came after a few other prototypes, including a filtered mask. It sells for $14.99 – Would you by this?
Even before COVID-19 was a concern, A 2017 study showed blowing out candles could increase the amount of bacteria on a cake by 1,400 percent.
Well at least if you get it you can say you birthday didn’t ‘blowzee’ as much as it did last year during the pandemic.
