ZOOMSCLUSIVE: JELLY ROLL On Windsor’s Country Mornings
Nashville native Jelly Roll (Jason DeFord) was drawn to the music and culture of the hip-hop scene. But Country was in his core.
Last year, after bein signed to Jason Aldean’s label, He released Ballads of the Broken, a 10-song redemption album that traces the singer, rapper and songwriter’s journey from the drug addiction and jail time in his teens and early twenties, to where he is now.
His song SON OF A SINNER is newley released here in Canada, which takes his raw, unreserved verses and melds elements of country, rock, and hip-hop into his own signature style.
I caught up with JELLY ROLL to find out more about his journey and of course have a laugh (does he know anyone named Bubba or Bobby Sue?)
